There are places that seem imbued with a strange and magical aura for it, or for other reasons, become sacred places. One of these is the Kadisha Valley in Lebanon, which houses one of the oldest natural heritage of humanity: the forest of the Cedars of God.

Kadisha is the name of the valley and the river running through it, a name which in Aramaic means “sacred”. It is unclear why in ancient times was considered sacred, but what is certain is that after the rise of Christianity, in Kadisha was founded some of the first monastic communities. The difficulty of access to the valley and the many natural caves facilitated the ascetic life, and later founded monasteries in the rugged rocks. In 1991 a disturbing discovery was made in these caves: eight mummies of the 13th century, probably belonging to hermits.

The greatest treasure of the Kadisha Valley is the forest of the Cedars of God. The name is because its wood was used in the construction of the First and Second Temple of Jerusalem. At that time the cedar of Lebanon was the most appreciated in the world, which over the centuries its population has been decimated: what was once a lush forest of old trees are now only 400 trees, very few of which exceed a thousand years. The cedar of Lebanon is one of the longest living plants in the world and in this forest are two trees of more than 3000 years.

The forest is currently threatened, according to UNESCO, and the visit is allowed only under the supervision of a guide. The Committee of Friends of the Cedar Forest launched a massive afforestation in 1985, but the fruit of this work can only be seen from here to several decades due to the slow growth of the tree. It must not lose hope that, someday, the “Sacred Valley” will be covered by these magnificent trees.

One of the most striking things about the city of Merida is one of its majestic records, which is the world’s largest cable car, which is currently under repair until next year.
If anything makes Merida very friendly for the tourists is its ability to cross it, as it has streets that are too long and has many small streets or intertwined, you can walk for hours and coming back the same way where you left peacefully.

The architectural landscape of the city of Merida has a very large and attractive especially in the area of the Plaza of Simon Bolivar, where we find the legendary monument to the liberator. Walking through this area we can find the colonial town of Merida, which is formed by buildings like the Museo Arquidiocesano, the Government building, the Archbishop’s Palace, the House of Culture and one of the most emblematic churches throughout Venezuela.

And the one thing that characterizes this city and its residents are eager to highlight their colossal what they have to differentiate themselves from other parts of the planet. Such is the passion that they put up everything to be the best, you have to more than 800 ice cream flavors, which has more flavors in the world, this is named Coromoto. Every ice cream has names that are very funny and have things that characterize the Venezuelan society.

Venezuela is characterized by a population very friendly, polite and always in a good mood, so coming to Merida will be happy in every way we can enjoy an amazing place and be assured that we will be treated with complete kindness.

It is part of the Maya Biosphere Reserve, and the network of biosphere reserves, for which care is ends in one of the most beautiful landscapes of Guatemala. In the center of the park is the archaeological place of Tikal, with an area of 1,600 hectares and where that has found dozens of items that account for the time of the Mayans and the first inhabitants of the region.

Tikal National Park is a very active, in which we find pumas, jaguars and all kinds of cats (although relatively small when compared to lions and tigers). Then there are the tropical birds, toucans flying over palm trees and colorful monkeys that walk among the treetops.

A historic level of Tikal region is quite mysterious, as yet not been discovered for sure that was what led them to exile in these areas and let the forest take possession of structures. Walking through the ruins, now covered with all kinds of vegetation, is a unique experience.

One of the places in Japan where you can enjoy the best scenery in the whole country is in the city of Takayama. It has a privileged location as, is surrounded by the Japanese Alps. Beyond having one of the most beautiful landscapes of its country Takayama has a strong cultural tradition, which becomes very attractive for tourism.

If there is something that stands out these cities the majesty in the local folk festivals, having 2 very important events in the year, which have to do with the harvest and planting in two important points of the year, autumn and spring.

The festival is done in the spring has to do with what they expect of the planting; they ask and pray for a harvest as successful as abundant. The other festival, the autumn harvest is to thank. Who parade in this festival is dressed in fancy clothes as in brightly decorated carriages for the situation is often very striking, but very orderly.

If we look more closely and quietly these carriages as flashy, we can see in the room called Takayama Yatai Kaikan, there are phones that have been used for decades.Undoubtedly Takayama continually surprises us, because it has a traditional culture that are still alive, this is reflected in the historical space located in Hida no Sato, which has several buildings, natural structures, old houses and historical items of great importance for the whole country Japanese.

If there is a paradise in this beautiful city is the baths of Oku Hida, located in the northern part and lower in the Alps, we find this village which has a very harmonious and relaxing landscape. Besides all these attractions in Takayama we find beautiful forests that enchant with its magical stories about gods, many waterfalls that give a feeling of being in a fairy tale, the smell of lavender that make us feel that heat is coming.

This Japanese city straight out of a story, is a haven for those who have been very crazy for cities, owns a relaxing countryside and a tradition as picturesque as compelling, this town deserves to be visited several times in life.

Dubai has beautiful pristine beaches, warm and a beautiful blue tint, most are private, as they have established numerous chain hotels along the coast of Dubai, but still there are some beaches are public. So Dubai holidays is an ideal for incredible vacation and exclusive luxury without measure.

Here is a list of the best beaches in Dubai:

Public beaches:

Jumeirah Beach: It is one of the most popular public beaches by tourists, is still water, clean and warm, ideal for families with children. It is found very near the Jumeirah Beach; from there you can also see the famous 7 star hotel of Burj Al Arab.

Open Beach: It is a beautiful beach near the historic center of Dubai, has great influx of tourists from Russian origin. This is very close to the Hotel Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa.

Al Mamzar Beach: This beach is very small, is not open to the open sea by what is soft, perfect waves to swim children.

Private beaches:

If you are looking for more privacy and you have the money to pay, we recommend visiting the Jumeirah Beach Park, which offers all kinds of services, features beautiful gardens, bars, restaurants and children’s area, you can also enjoy a variety of activities water as windersurf. It is very close to the Jumeirah Mosque.

In addition there are a lot of hotels that include its own beaches, such as the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, if not these hosted in any of those, you can enjoy its beaches by the nothing despicable 100 dirhams.

The beaches in Dubai are the only place where you can strip off your clothes and walk in swimsuit or bikini, because it is usually very conservative in that regard. That if the nudity is not allowed, do not try you might end up in jail, much less have sex on the beaches.

Serbia is a country with a multitude of tourist attractions, despite what some may think, not only is concentrated in the capital, Belgrade. Generally there are two types of tourism in the country are performed by a part which includes the urban areas, large cities such as Belgrade and, secondly, rural tourism, linked to the mountainous areas and different landscapes of Serbia.

Today we make a stop in an impressive medieval fortress located on the banks of the Danube River that bathes also point in which is situated the monument from which we talked yesterday. It is located northeast of Serbia, is part of a population who do not live more than 2,000 people, mostly Serbs but also some Vlachs (Romanized populations of southeastern Europe).

The name of this medieval fortress is Golubac, a word that comes from the Serbian “golub” which means “dove or pigeon”. Even without knowing fully the background to his name, the fact is that Golubac is a prime archaeological site in which are preserved to a remarkable number of buildings still standing after having been the scene of many battles that here were produced.

As time was left in oblivion and has not been until recently that it began to carry out various jobs recovery, making this important historical relic into one of the main attractions of the country. Today it is possible to go on a visit its ramparts, towers and the stone steps, although some areas, the highest-still in disrepair and can not access them. To reach this medieval fortress of Golubac may take any of the seven buses that depart every day from Belgrade bound to Golubac.

Portugal owns a unique and incomparable landscape and acquisitions is relatively new is the Basque da Gama bridge, which was built just 14 years ago and which connects the cities of Sacavem and Montejo, which bind too, across the Tagus river.

The Basque Da Gama is one of the most impressive bridges in Europe, is considered the largest of the continent, as it boasts over 17 kilometers long and has 6 lifts so that motorists can travel it without any problem.

This has been an architectural work of the most impressive we have seen in Portugal, since it has functional characteristics that make it extremely safe for motorists. It also has features that make it unique aesthetic to the eye, like the part where the towers are holding the entire structure, these are 1 feet high.

<script type="text/javascript"

It has features that do nothing but put on a pedestal, the quality of construction that has, since the height at which it is, does not create any problem in the Tagus River, since it has high enough as not to interfere with any ships.

This bridge was built with a strong structure, sustainable and safe; it can withstand earthquakes and severe storms. Another important feature is that it does not alter the ecosystem of the Parque do Tejo, one of the most important places where we can find all kinds of species, both animal and plant, which serves as a reserve for some species in danger of extinction.

Traverse from the north to its end carries no cost toll around if, on the south side has a toll, but this consists of a small amount of 3 euros, which is very cheap traveling 17 kilometers, which have incredible scenery, such as the coast of the Tagus River. If you travel to Lisbon you should not miss the opportunity to know the longest bridge in Europe.

Bavaria is one of the most popular regions of Germany, for many reasons: the palaces, castles, medieval villages and beautiful scenery have attracted admiration throughout Europe and beyond, making it a prime tourist destination. With the backdrop of the Alps and lush forests, among which are hidden castles and ancient villages, Bavaria has some of the most famous landscapes of Europe.

Every journey should start with the capital, Augsburg. The old part of the city houses real wonders of the Renaissance period and magnificent religious buildings, such as the Gothic Cathedral of Dinkelsbuhl and the monastery of Santa Ana, where the monk Martin Luther developed the reformist theses which would lead to the Protestant Reformation. The classical music lovers should not miss the home of Leopold Mozart, father of one of the greatest composers of all time.

Once you see Augsburg, opens to you a route through medieval towns whose streets paved transported to another time. Among the people who should visit, can not miss those of Rothenburg ob der Tauer or Bad Mergentheim and the city of Wurzburg, where there are great wonders as Weikersheim palace. Something you can not stop doing if you like beer is to try the famous Bavarian specialty of this drink.

Obviously an inescapable visit is the castle of Neuschwanstein. It built by order of Louis II of Bavaria, is a dream castle, the most famous in Germany and perhaps of Europe, since it is based on the company logo of Walt Disney. Set amid the forests of Bavaria, with a fairy-tale architecture and lavish decoration, based on Norse mythology and medieval legends, is a dream come true.

A trip to Bavaria will not leave you indifferent: its cities, towns and forests hide some of the most beautiful postcards of Europe. It’s a place you should enjoy tranquility, to savor each of its corners.

London is a city in Europe is striking: most people want to visit if only once in their life. You do not need a compelling reason for it, any excuse is sufficient. Still, if you want a compelling reason (and if you have the better cultural touches) for the English capital, may serve you visiting the British Museum.

One of the most famous places in the British Museum is the Queen Elizabeth II Great Court, which opened at the end of the year 2000 and bears the signature of architect Norman Foster. Located in the center of the museum, and a very defining characteristic is its roof: is made of glass and steel, consisting of 1656 pairs of glasses. It also constitutes one of the largest in Europe covered parking spaces with a size of 90 x 70 meters.

The British Museum holds inside parts curious and valuable, and it is best to not have to pay anything to see. One of the most positive of this museum is free admission to all audiences. Open daily from 10 am to 5 pm and you can walk freely inside to know a little bit of history. Except for some rooms or special collections, the entry is completely free. Why knowledge does not have to be expensive!
